Licensed practitioners who frequently use ACLS skills. Please note that the e-Learning ACLS course is neither easier nor shorter than a traditional ACLS class. Most learners take at least four hours to complete the course and others take much longer. This course is based on the new 2005 guidelines. |

- This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of the American Heart Association and Laerdal Medical Corporation. The American Heart Association is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
- The American Heart Association designates this educational activity for a maximum of 12 category 1 credits toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the activity.

ACLS eLearning offers an alternative to the traditional ACLS class. The course contains a series of eLearning modules that cover the required American Heart Association curriculum for ACLS:
- Static Rhythm Recognition
- ACLS Written Exam
- AED Simulation
- 10 Patient Case Scenarios
After successful completion of the e-learning portion, participants are required to attend a Skills Check, which should take less than 30 minutes.
How It Works:
- You complete and submit the online ACLS Registration form.
- Education Services will mail you a set of instructions, a multimedia cd and an individual login key.

- Current ACLS for Healthcare Providers card on file with Barton University
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers card on file with Barton University
- Computer with: Internet Access, CD or DVD drive, Speakers & Printer
- Valid Email Address

- You must have basic computer skills- if you do not feel comfortable using the mouse, installing software and surfing the internet please do not sign up for this course!
- To take full advantage of the online materials, your computer must be fast enough to play video.
