There are many local events that take place during the summer months here in South Lake Tahoe. We have various car shows, including Hot August Nights, which will be at the very beginning of August. There’s the Lake Tahoe Air show, which will be at the end of August. There are a number of celebrities who will be performing at local venues, such as Harveys’ Summer Concert Series. And there are local performers who entertain at smaller local lounges.

Lake Tahoe is a diverse recreation area. Many of our local hiking trails and nature walks are easily accessible from various trailheads. Hiking paths may be level and fairly easy, all the way up to steep trails that take the traveler to Desolation Wilderness, Mount Tallac or other fantastic and panoramic views in the area.
